WHAT IS AEGIS SELF DEFENSE?
In Greek mythology, the Aegis was the legendary shield of Zeus, passed down to his daughter Athena, protecting her in all battles.
Aegis Self Defense is a team dedicated to both your physical and mental well being. Our core training principles are empowerment, resiliency, and strength.
Empowerment - Giving yourself permission to stand up and fight for yourself. The right to set boundaries to nobody's rules but your own. Be it using your voice in harassing situations or using violence yourself to escape.
Resiliency - Decisions under stress, recovery from mental and physical trauma, continuous self care.
Strength - Tapping in to the strength we all have, physical and mental. Strength to establish self defense plans that work for you. Strength to endure, survive, and knowing you are worth fighting for.
